Trauma Recovery

Many individuals who have been exposed to trauma, a deeply disturbing event or distressing experience, struggle with feeling disconnected from the sensations in their bodies, feeling on edge or on guard, and feeling hopeless about the future. They may also experience lack of enjoyment in life, sleep disturbance, and involvement in self-destructive behaviors. Difficulties interacting with and trusting others is also common.

Participation in therapy can help you:

-Regain a sense of safety

-Learn how to manage distressing feelings and bodily sensations

-Learn to take pleasure in the present

-Improve your relationships with yourself and others

-Improve your self-compassion
