Grief

Grief is a natural emotional response to the loss of someone or something important to you. Life events such as death, divorce, break-up, job loss, re-location, loss of health due to illness, or loss of safety due to trauma are typical causes of grief. After a loss it is common to experience many different emotions including sadness, despair, shock, anger, and guilt. Sometimes these feelings can be scary and overwhelming; it may feel like they will never go away.

Participation in therapy can help you:

-Learn effective ways to cope with the changes/losses

-Honor the loss(es)

-Gain clarity about what you want for the future

-Assist you with regaining a sense of balance and well-being
